Cala Sol is also an excellent starting point for exploring the surrounding area full of important cities of art including Modica, Ragusa, Scicli, Noto and Siracusa, charming seaside villages such as Sampieri, Pozzallo and Marzamemi and some of the island's greatest natural beauties such as Capo Passero, the Cava d'Ispica and the Vendicari nature reserve.
